I am just wondering if notice date and receipt date combination means anything in terms of when the EAD will be processed?
I think so since lots of people with receipt date same as mine, who have their EADs approved had an earlier notice date .
Also other people with same notice date with EADs approved had an earlier receipt date.
Just trying to gather some evidence here.

Can someone please guide me in what direction or steps do I need to take in my situation.
My Situation:
Dentist working in a Non-Profit organization for 4yrs.
EB3
PD: Aug 2006
LC - Approved
140 - Approved
485 - Filed Aug 2007
485 RFE for EVL - Submitted.
EAD (2yr) and AP - Approved
After submission of RFE, I got accepted into a 2yr speciality program that is one of a kind and I have been waiting to get into this for a long time, and it is like a dream getting accepted.
I am presently in the program and I received the following update.
Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.
The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done, counting from when USCIS received it. Follow the link below to check processing dates. I will be starting to work with the sponsoring employer from July 2009 on a part-time basis. My relation and communication with the sponsoring employer is very good.
I am planning to join the sponsoring employer after my 2yr program and my employer is willing to accept me, but they cannot provide a future job offer as they cannot say if there will be a job opening.
I am sure I will be called in for an interview. I have exhausted my 6yrs of H1B and presently working on EAD.
I am little concerned for the interview, as I do not work full time and do not have a future job offer. But, since I am working part-time with the sponsoring employer, will that help to prove that 485 was a legitamate.
I would greatly appreciate if someone could please throw some info.

My son's name has been deleted from the derivative beneficiary's list, however, he can remain eligible under this F-4 petition if the Consular calculate his age with Patriot Act 45 days. In that case, he can benefit from CSPA. Our case details as below:
Priority Date: Oct. 16, 1996
Approval Date: Dec. 4, 1996
Days of Petition Pending: 49 days
Child's 21st Birthday: May 31, 2007
Child's age when visa became current: 21 years 62 days

Here's my situation. I have an approved I-140 (EB2), my I-485 has been pending for more than an year. Due to recent lay-offs, I will have to change my employer through an H-1B transfer. My wife was on H-4. However, just this year she got an H-1B approval with consular processing since when we applied for her H-1b this year, she was not in US.
Now 2 weeks back, her employer applied for her COS through regular processing. I assume this takes about 3-4 months.
My question is - now that I am doing my H-1B transfer to another employer, do I have to worry about my wife's H-4 extension as well, or just leave that as it is, as her application for COS to H-1B is pending with USCIS.
Please advise.

In my opinion, leave it as it is.
also, please spend few minutes to send out 4 letters in support of fight against cases using AC21 and getting denials without any reasons. You might very well fall in this if you plan/have to use your EAD.

A quick question for all you experts out there
My wife is on H4 right now and I am on H1, though we got our EAD last year, but I am still using my H1 and not used my EAD yet, So is it possible to apply for Social Security for my wife, will applying for Social Security Number, considered as using EAD and H1 becomes void.
Use of EAD to get SSN is OK. Don't use EAD for work.

I applied fro SSN replacement card like 2 weeks back. I havent recieved the card as yet, so i called SSN the lady on the phone said that two weeks will up tomm and should wait till the end of the week ,if i dont recieve the card by then i should check again. Any one else expereicned such a thing, i am getting worried since it is over weeks . I applied on Sept 17 ,called SSN on Sept 30 .

On EAD you can work multiple jobs, accept payment or stocks or compensation from any employer.
By the way, in H1B you can accept "profit on passive investment".
Alright so it is better then i dont take any equity at all untill i get greencard?
