I changed address on pending I-485 and I-765(EAD) on 8/20 and 8/20 evening I received Card production order email for EAD. When I called the 800 number to make sure they have the correct address they said they don't have access to personal information. Upon asking to connect to second level CSR/IO they said they can't forward my call there. They asked me to take InfoPass for this.

My spouse's employer will apply for her H1B shortly (she is on F1 right now). Her passport expires in March 2007 but the Indian consulate does not allow you for a renewal earlier than 6 months of the expiration date.
Does USCIS have any requirements for validity dates for passport when application for H1B is sent?
I think USCIS will allow you to file for her H-1. BTW the H-1 quota is over for FY2007 - http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1039
However if your wife has a Masters degree from the US she might still be able to apply.

My wife had Henna on her hand when she went for her FP. The officer asked her did not take her finger prints and asked her to send that letter to their office by mail for re-scheduling the appointment. She sent the letter and got another appointment within 40 days. No problems in the second appearance.
That is stupid .... how does having henna affect fingerprints???

Folks please share your opinion/experience about "WHICH USCIS OFFICE" the last EAD application was filed to if you lived and worked in NJ. Thanks!
Last year it went to california center because of the large no. of applications due to july visa bulletin. You should file to Texas service center because you are in NJ (please read the instructions to verify).

If you work for sponsoring employer, your H1B is still valid, eventhough you enter with AP.
This is grey area and the interpretation can change any time. Please note that entering on AP is not same as entering with visa stamp.

Hello, I just want some clarification please.
My husband has a L1A (we came to the US on an L1B which was converted to an L1A after 4.5 years). The current visa runs out June 2011, that will be our 7 years. We have decided to move forward with a Green Card. However, this morning we received a email from his HR saying they have checked with an immigration guru and they have said that we have to leave the US for 1 year (to re-enter as an L1A again) as we have L1A status and not H1B status, (if we had H1B status they could move forward with the GC). They also said, they can however start the GC process whilst we are out of the country but it will take from 6 -8 years. Do we have to leave the US for a year or can we convert an L1A to a GC.
Also if we did not get a green card before June 2011 (visa expiration) would we have to leave the US or could we stay awaiting the GC processing.

I wonder what is the need of such crap from these airlines? Why not fly directly when service is available. Racism in Europe is a known fact and is evident everywhere. Best is to boycott their service and they will realize the result. Until people start doing it on massive scale they will not provide proper service.

The country quota extends to all the nations and is not specific to few countries (India, China....) UK, Germany, France have country limits too, its just that their countries are not oversubscribed like India, China...
Country quota has no place in employment based green card system. The skill set that I have and that my employer seeks has nothing to do with the country that I was born in!
Congress got country limits into immigration b'se they want to limit # of people immigrate from single country, but the AC1 gave spillover provisions.

On January 9, 2009, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file. You should receive your new card within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service.
THEY SAID THIS WAS A NEW CARD. I WANT TO KNOW DO THEY DISTROY THE FIRST CARD THAT WAS SEND TO ME OR IS THIS NEW CARD WAS THE LPR(GREEN) CARD THAT HAVE 10 YEARS OF EXPIRATION? PLS URGENT REPLY THANKS

My new EB2 140 is approved with new date, so I sent following email to EBupdate.tsc@dhs.gov on 05/18 and my case is approved on 05/25. You don't have to wait until new I-140 is ported with old 140 date, the following email worked for me.
In the subject line, put : I-485 Multiple I-140s
Body of the email :
