Take it easy... This is just for humour, to have fun at these times.
No green card for you. Just work well for 6 years, enjoy life in US, enjoy sports cars by renting, not by buying, rent a big house, have a lawn and garden in back yard, grow your own vegetables. Have nice vacations like Hawaii, Jamaican islands, Vegas, Porto Rico etc.,Have fun in life. Do not go for green card. After 6 years, get nice job in India,own apartment near to office and ask your parents to live with you. Take kids to school . Have fun with them. Try to become director, AVP,VP,SVP,CEO,CTO and President. Do not go for green card. After you become director, buy a single family home and mercedez or BMW and have fun. good point ..for EB3 folks to invest any money in US in immovable assets when the status is in such a big big mess is like throwing HARDEARNED money away. sadly, There is NO hope in the horizon for EB3-I / C

Do you know why all arguments against F1 to GC are moot? It's because US does NOT view it as misuse. They are talking about not letting the students go, and stapling GC's to certificates. Do you think there will be any result from fighting that sentiment?

Plainspeak...no one here knows everything abt immigration. so its ok that u lost this argument. we are here to share out experiences, enlighten each other, and work for easing EB backlogs. The fact that theres no one in entire IV that supports ur argument should put some sense into you abt this issue.

Kudos & thanks a lot IV team! I hope this inspires members to contribute regularly which in turn will enable the core team to carry on the sustained lobbying effort to bring about systemic changes. Although today's news is great, this is only a small step. Now begins the long long wait till our cases are taken up for adjudication. Our woes will not go away unless the underlying problem of severely constrained visa availability is addressed.
Time to roll up our sleeves and continue working with renewed vigor.

I think Rajiv Khanna once sued INS to make sure the I485's are approved 'First In & First Out' basis.
I am not sure if we can approach him again and how.

The only way to enlighten yourself and others is to get yourself and your friends involved and participating towards the effort. You will automatically see the sacrifices made by others who are not thinking about "I" all the time.
No sensible member would expect detailed spending reports to be published on a public forum. I hope you weren't expecting that?

As per one of the patrons on another thread an IO showed him a memo recieved by USCIS suggesting that all Visa numbers for EB2 India/China were exhausted

This interview EXPOSED how un-informed and careless and whimsical are IOs in handling cases. MEMO should have been framed on their desks/mind....we don't have to remind these guys. In one moment they can deny as important a petition as AOS and just in a flash second they can approve it. They won't make any effort to dig out relevant info. It is like fliping a coin...plain luck when it comes to GC.

I wrote a letter to the university chancellor where I graduated from and urged him to use his power to influence lawmakers to pass STEM -or similar -bills or face the consequences in the form of dwindling enrollment of brilliant students. I used strong but not so harsh words. Refer to the following thread.

My state chapter leader was also excited about this idea. I posted the letter and the chancellor's response on this forum only to motivate someone 'higher up' to read it, endorse it and make it an action item for everybody (with a US degree). I feel now that I did my part as a dedicated member but the IV leaders (those who have the authority in IV circle) failed to lead my initiative or take it to a higher level (may be I am not able to find better words here).
Usually discussions get buried in forums. People open all sorts of threads and discuss - which is fine, but when some real effort is going on - I recommend the person who is behind it to own the effort. Thats what IV is - everyone MUST own the effort from start to finish and not give up or pass it on.
It is difficult for people to spend the time and effort in a thankless job. And we all need a lot of motivation and courage to do things. We are all professionals and currently dealing with politics and bureaucracy - must understand how difficult it is.
Below is for all readers
I just read the messages from Aman and Pappu - their tone is understandable - they are definitely stressed because they have to deal with all this. Am sure they are definitely looking for committed individuals who can help them and who can be trusted. There must be more than 100% commitment to do what they are doing.
Is it possible for everyone to commit themselves at that level?
If not can people do the following at the least?
(1) Provide correct information
(2) Contribute monetarily
(3) Join State chapter
(4) balance their schedules and create some time for IV and do at least something
(5) Stop crap talk and blame games and concentrate only on useful stuff
(6) Contribute in any other way - publicity, convincing friends, coming up with innovative ideas .....
(7) Channelize all your frustration into positive energy.
Based on commitment, availability, skill, trust IV can definitely utilize your help in different levels, maybe ann admin, maybe a chapter lleader, maybe a chapter member , maybe a media coordinator ...... Do you have that in you? Are you willing to do it??
