i spent around 3000$ for studies, could get only 2000$ under lifetime...

I don't think you can use both lifetime credit and tution deduction. Lifetime credit is a credit applied directly to amount of tax you owe and tuition deduction reduces your taxable income. You can use only one ( whichever gives you maximum benefit).

It's not the "swf" we're concerned with, it's the "fla", and it doesn't just do it with imported Swift3D stuff, but with jpg's and movie's and other imported media.
Try this experiment.
Open a blank Flash project. Save it as an FLA file, and note the file size.
Import a large jpg, then delete it from the stage, and from the library.
Save it again and compare file size again.

I have my receipt number. And I am trying to get a hod of my case folder from th company lawyer.
"As such you do not need H1 due to new rule on OPT, however; you need to check if the H1 was applied for change of status? If it is a change of status application, you need to probably inform USCIS that you will not be changing status to H1."
Is there any way I can check if th H1 was applied for change of status without information from the company lawyer?

Point is not wikipedia or other site. They should be relying on information provided in proper legal format and not on some internet based site. Example if some one is working for Microsoft and if I google the keywords I might get some website which says how MS products are bad and how Bill Gates has stolen technology from XEROX etc. Which is all nonsense and no way concerns with the application in hand's of the IO. So they have the liberty to ask for more information where ever they need but they should not prejudice themselves by reading internet based information.

I have heard great things about TANA. I am not a member of TANA, but would love to be one. Coordination between TANA like Organizations and IV would be a great opportunity for both Organizations as they can help each other in many ways.
There is ATA (American Telugu Association) too and they have a convention in New Jersey this weekend.
ATA and TANA are big orgs but most of them are ABCD and USA citizens and I aam not sure to what extent we can get help from them.
The key to our solutions lies in us. Ours is a big community, but a very few people spend time and money and energy on working towards our goals and always want others to fix our issues

They might not necessarily ask you, but its always safe to have the below documents.
In our case, they asked us once and the other time, they did not care.
1. Copies of Passport of both the parents (page with picture and name details)
2. A letter authorizing your in-laws to accompany your daughter.
Get it notarized if you can. If not, send the signed copies.
If you need a format for the letter(nothing fancy, was drafted by myself), let me know, I can dig out the one I used.

Our inability to apply for I-485 due to unethical behavior of USCIS is not covered by any major news channel. I searched in google and looked up all major news web site, non has this news. When all these news channels can cover illegal immigrations, why cant they have some space for legal immigration. We are legal immigrants, shouldnt be afraid of anything. We pay a lot of taxes and we dont diserve this 3rd rated treatment. So go call every major news channel in your local area and request them to cover this news. I called Fox10, ABS15 & AZ Republic in Phoenix area. Spread this news and create awareness and we should be able to get justice.

If you filed it in January you should have a reciept document which should be a date before your old H1-B of 5th feb expires, if you have this you are not considered out of status.
As someone sujested there may be a typo or the I-129 was filed incorrectly or these USCIS people did not really look into the case properly.
Your lawyer can follow up with that reciept notice and H1-B approval and correct the error.
Dont' Worry, you are safe. Yell at your lawyer if it is his mistake. These lawyers are so untrust worthy these days, they are becomming more money minded.
Issues have happened with many of my friends.

Unless, people realize that it is in their interest to spread this grass root effort it is all futile. Do you guys really think that distributing fliers by four guys at the parade is going to make a difference.
Though I really commend what these guys did and they were truly heroes but if I were them, then based on the turn out (only 4 people) I would have decided to go back.
After all, these were not doing only for themselves but for every one else too.

I am derivative beneficiary and have a EAD card through my spouse who is also on H1B. I am currently on H1B and my own I-140 has an RFE.
I am getting an opportunity to venture into an non-IT business.
Can I start my own S-Corp or LLC using EAD and also continue working on H1B with my current employer? What will be status - H1B or Parolee(EAD)
Will I loose my H1B status as soon as I use EAD?
I would like to play safe and rather pass on this business opportunity to my current employer and remain on his H1B too keep my H1B status if it is safer.
Please advise.

my 140 was approved a week and a half back ..and i asked my attorney ..if my date was successfully ported..and he is refusing to divulge the information and telling me to contact my company..
1.) i know 140 is a employers prerogative and all that jazz..but should i not get a copy..or at least some basic information?

I got my EAD through my primary Employer. I am currently working on EAD but with a different Employer (NY State Agency) who doesn�t encourage GC processing, so did not file my AC21 and been working for over a year now. I still have good rapport with my primary Employer. Now I am scheduled to go to INDIA for few weeks, my question is " whom should I say is my Employer " if the immigration officer asks me at the port of entry (JFK). Please advise as I will be carrying my current pay stubs.

I received my card production ordered email today. All thanks God for making all this possible. I came to the US in Jan 1995 on F1 to begin my undergrad, switched to H1 in 1998, had a GC PD of 2002, and now 14 years and a countless visa's later, I was greened today.
I would not have made it through this journey without the expert advice on this forum to all the questions I asked - and just seeing everyone's contributions whether +ve or -ve to remind me that I am not in this thing alone.
For those that are still on the journey - just hang in there and your time surely will come!

1.My first H1 with company A: Oct 2005 to Oct 2008 (stamped in my passport)
2.My entry to USA: May 2006
3.My wife's entry to USA on H4: Oct 2007 (stamped in her passport)
4.My second H1 with company B: Dec 2007 to Dec 2010 (Not stamped in my passport)
5.My wife's H1 with company C: Oct 2008 to Oct 2011 (Not stamped in her passport)
