Right. The Initial Evidence section of the I-131 form. Under section I part C 1 b. on page 4 (page 4 in PDF, page 3 printed on that doc) does mention this:
An explanation or other evidence showing the circumstances that warrant issuance of an advance parole document; or
but the very next line is that the alternative to this is a copy of the USCIS receipt of your 485. So just USCIS receipt (or even receipt number) should be good enough for us (or if you filed all three together, dont even need that).
Anyway to OP: ask your lawyer to apply, you should not face any problems getting it.

I received an RFE on my I-140. I responded to NSC last week with what was requested in RFE. NSC acknowledged receipt of my response. How long do you think it would take for them to take a decision on my case (non-premium process).

Hi,
Could some one let us know while applying for H1 Extension do we need to provide notarized documents if one has traveled outside US on H1B. Are these documents mandatory ?
Also what's the general processing time for H1 Extension.I mean how many days does it take..

We're in a unique situation. My wife and I married in India and didn't register our marriage; we're now citizens of country X. To get our marriage (and birth) certificate, we went to the local Indian consulate, which provides these services. But we were told that, since we're no longer Indian citizens, we should go to X's consulate. Is there a way we can get the certificates? How about registering our marriage in the US?
For BC, our parents sent us the affidavits and we were thinking to get a certificate of BC's non-availability through . Is there a quicker solution?

I don't know. It is just puzzling that some people got both while others only got one. What is the basis for approving AP?

09/27/2008: Senate Passed Consolidated Continuing Appropriation Bill, H.R. 2638
* Today, the Senate also passed this bill by agreeing to the House H.R. 2638 which the House paased earlier. Here is the vote count. This bill now goes to the President for his signature. The President is expected to sign all of these bills, including Consolidated Continuing Appropriation, Reauthorizations of Non-Miniter Religious Worker Special Immigration, and Conrad 30 International Medical Graduates National Interest Waiver bills before October 1, Wednesday. Otherwise, the federal government is destined to shut down and the immigration reauthorization laws will sunset and gone. The President is anticipated to sign these bills by September 30, 2008.
* Sad part is that the immigration reauthorization is valid only until March 6, 2009 just as the continuing appropriation act. Still, it is a good news in that most of the pending I-360 non-minister religious worker immigration petitions, Conrad-30 based I-140 petitions, and EB-485 applications related to these petitions are likely taken care of before March 6, 2009. The USCIS is currently holding in abeyance these petitions and related EB-485 applications pending the Congressional action. Since the Congress has now cleared the path, as soon as the President signs the bills, the USCIS is likely to pick up these petitions and 485 applications swiftly. Unfortunately, the Conrad 30 based EB-485 for Indians and Chinese may still have to deal with the visa number retrogressions in October 2008 Visa Bulletin. Thank you, indyanguy, morchu and Mr. Reddy for your insights. Since, I am working with the same employer, I think they will not revoke the old I-140. I am not sure if I have to do medical examination again if I decide to send a new I-485?. Can I ask the doctor to re-send the I-693 form?

I think there is another option too. If she can get in touch with a hospital here, she can come directly for fellowship after which she will have to practice within the same hospital. Some specialties like Radiology and Pathology give you unrestricted license to practice anywhere in US after putting up with the fellowship for certain number of years (5 years in case of radiology). Please check this fellowship option with others who might be more knowledgeable.

Already did that in previous reply, the new letter says the evaluation is done basing on the syllabus but Mr vallabhu did not actually take math course as per the syllabus.
I have my certificate from 1992 which also mentioned Math as one of the subjects I don't how he can miss that.

I sumited my wife's & my I140 and I485 together in this July 2nd, 2007. I'm the primary applicant and in EB3 category. I already got receipt and the requesting for fingerprinting. If i file a divorce now does it going to have any effect on my processing?

USCIS sends out three copies of the approval notice Form I797 A: Sent to the attorney on record, Form I797 B sent to the Petitioner and Form I797C sent to the beneficiary. Check the lower right hand corner of the notice you received for the form number. The B and C versions are courtesy copies. That is why if you look at the "documents needed" section for stamping of H1B in any of the Consulates or VFS sites they typically mention "original Form I797A"

Hi Gary,
I don't do studio stuff, so I can't advise on lighting, and you already have a lot of expert advice there already :)
My observations are; I think the glass itself looks great, but the red ornaments in #2 are distracting. Obviously a matter of taste since jpreston likes them. The background, keeping in mind that you improvised, has horizontal folds that I found distracting. A piece of black velvet or similar material would fix that, and isn't too expensive if you stick to one or two. I think the backgrounds become expensive when you buy a variety and have the means to move them around quickly to increase paying studio throughput. I think both images look good in general.

Dear Friends,
Please advise me for the following relating to my birth certificate that I have to use for Immigration purposes.
One or two alphabets of my name on birth certificate are different from my passport and secondary school. In addition, my family name is not included in the certificate. Rest of the information is all fine and matching with my passport and secondary school certificates( like DOB, Parents, Place etc)
I have some questions
1. Does the birth certificate issued by Indian consulate in foreign country is deemed acceptable?
2. Do I need to furnish any kind of affidavit along with original birth certificate, if yes, please share the format for those, who is writing these affidavit and any specific stamp paper/value etc?
3. Any guidelines in order to correct the information in my original certificate.
4. Any other vital information in this regard

No one cares how you exit. A lesser known fact is that most Mexicans who are here illegally catch a regular commercial flight when they visit their homes in Mexico.

It's a bit of a guess without seeing the images, however when the light source i.e. a lamp, or a window is in the picture area it forces the camera to average its brightness into the exposure calculation. The result = dark pictures. I remember way back when when I was just getting started I had no Idea how dark it realy was when I started shooting indoors. Uping the sensitivity As previosly described is most likely necessary. (either that or a tripod, and neck clamps for your subjects as was done in the days of tintypes.) You might also consider bouncing a flash off of a white ceiling or wall to soften the light and avoid the harsh lighting you have learned to dislike.
