We have been fooled so many times in the past with the predictions of the visa allocation being over etc. I would take this with a grain of salt.

Just created one more poster.
One of the persons should be Director USCIS.
One letter/poster to each service center.
One I think should be President of US.
Another place could be CNN, FOX news etc.

I agree that this topic should be researched, and we should have all possible statistics/data on it.
I tried to locate on immigration.com, but I couldn't find the information. I will continue to look.
If Mr Chandu, or Mr Unitednations could quickly locate the links, and post them here, I (we) would be greatful.
People in this forum are about 1.5 years behind in the understanding of retrogression (all of these issues have been dissected, diseminated, corroborated, etc.); how the law works; what visa bulletin said in November 2005. dissecting numbers, etc.
There is much deeper understanding of this on immigration.com since it has been going on for a while. Chandu is a member there and has been following it and participating on it.
I would think something as important as this; one would research it to death and get all possible statistics on it. All these things have already been laid out in great detail very long ago.

My application with my current employer under Advanced degree cap reached Vermont on April 19th, but didn't make the cap!!!! I do have another application through another company that reached under the cap but is still pending. So, I think I will reapply with that receipt notice.

Kinda agree on the lack of momentum. One indicator being that IV hasn't been "In the news" since Sept 11 2007......a year back!!... This is from the IV website.

Yes...I am aware of the facts that you mention...but now that data entry is made since long, the ND has no value.
Last year when the EB2 PD's were current for 28 days in August, only those RD's whose data was entered in TSC had chance of getting GC's. In other words, receipts are now generated for all '07 fiasco filers and hence the ND has no value!
That said if a Service Center rep says about the ND replacing the RD in their system, then it is time for corrective action. With these small windows of PD being current, why take chances!

It was only in July/Aug 07 when due to high volumes many cases (including mine) waited for data entry for months, as no center wanted to accept that additional responsbility. Those whose cases were entered in July/Aug 07, became ahead of those whose cases were entered in Sept and Oct 07, no matter when they filed or what their RD (as on the receipt). People with PD in 2005 and 2006 who got GC last year were those lucky ones who cases were entered in the system in July, Aug (and may be some in Sept) 07.

As I had mentioned earlier, do not be under the misconception that just because you are working in a stable cash-rich comany and happy with your job, it can't get bad. Your company can move, downsize, close a branch or just fire you....given the current scenario, it will take atleast 5/6 years (if you are lucky and maybe more if you are unfortunate) to get a GC and all these years can go waste by any of the above happening

I have lived in USA for 6 years - legally paying my taxes, following all the laws and contributing to the society to the best of my abilities. I am currently on H1-B visa extension.
My wife is working for a company on H1-B. Her employer promised in mid-2005 that she would start the GC process for her so that we could have a backup. Till now her GC has not been started. My wife is in a dilemma of whether she should quit her job and join somewhere else. But if she does move to a new company, even they will not start her GC process immediately. Even if they do what is the point because of retrogression?
With the retrogression my GC could take years....sometimes I wonder if the stress, living in constant fear not knowing what is going to happen tomorrow, staying far away from loved ones, all these sacrifices is really worth it when legal workers like me who have contributed to the economy of America seem to have no value in this country.

US immigration policy is to get foreign people only when certain skills are not available. There are lot of laws are there to protect US jobs while hiring Foreign persons. And some more may come while increasing immigration. Some times it might not be enforced correctly. It is the mistake of US enforcement agencies and Companies but not the mistake of immigrants. Many immigrants are creating jobs here. Yes you have to complain to authorities if any one violated immigration laws. But there is no use of blaming all the immigrants. There is nothing wrong in increasing immigration with the protection of American jobs. If protection is not enough then you can ask congress to increase more protection of US jobs. But moderate increase of green card is needed. And IV goal will not increase immigration numbers and will not create unemployment in Americans because the persons will stay till getting green card. So it does not make any difference if they increase or not increase GC numbers. But it will make many persons life easier.
I am surprised that I haven�t been banned yet. Since, I am not; I will fight till the end. Now, you fellas must be eagerly waiting for my replies. Though you are not worth my time, but have patience, I am still going to reply to you all one by one, clearing any doubts you might have.

Yes, you may end up blocking strive act, but what will happen then is all your jobs are going to start disappearing to eastern europe, China, India and any other place possible. I don't know if you work in high skilled labor market but if you do, I am sure you must have noticed the large number of engineers, doctors, architects who are immigrants and contributing to this society. Anyway, I think discussing this point with you is pointless.
Anyways, you are welcome on this forum. You can express your opinion as much as you want. I don't think we (or you for that matter) are going to gain anything by arguing online.
